Christopher R. “Chris” is the founder, owner, and president of VegasBlueAlliance (VBA). VegasBlueAlliance is a sole proprietorship business that was founded in 2018 by Chris. Since its founding, Chris has been responsible for developing and managing VBA as a law enforcement support and public-safety platform focused on supporting first responders, sharing important public-safety information, improving communication, and advocating for the men and women who serve their communities.

Through VegasBlueAlliance, Chris has gained extensive hands-on experience in organizational leadership, public-safety communications, social media management, research, community engagement, critical incident information, and working with members of the law enforcement and first-responder communities. His responsibilities have included managing VBA’s website and social media presence, developing educational content and graphics, researching criminal justice and public-safety issues, coordinating mobile critical-incident alerts, communicating with law enforcement professionals, conducting surveys and analyzing feedback, developing membership and recognition programs, and overseeing the daily operations of the organization.

Chris’s experience with VBA has also provided him with practical exposure to many of the challenges facing modern criminal justice organizations, including officer morale, organizational culture, leadership, supervision, accountability, employee retention, compensation, community relations, technology, and communication between different levels of an organization. Working with law enforcement professionals has allowed Chris to connect academic criminal justice concepts with real-world observations and practical experience.

Educationally, Chris is near completion of a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice through Purdue University.  His studies have strengthened his understanding of criminal justice administration, leadership, organizational management, supervision, ethics, policing, criminal law, legal research, cultural awareness, emergency management, technology, and public safety.

Chris has also completed additional professional education in areas such as cybersecurity and FEMA emergency-management principles, including Incident Command System and National Incident Management System concepts.

Chris is also FEMA Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) certified and has experience related to emergency preparedness, disaster response, crisis management, and public-safety operations. These experiences have helped him develop strong skills in organization, communication, situational awareness, decision-making, and coordination during emergencies and critical incidents.

Chris’s overall professional background extends beyond VegasBlueAlliance and includes experience in customer service, management, caregiving, social services, live-chat support, social media management, and online communications. These positions have helped him develop leadership, problem-solving, communication, documentation, conflict-resolution, multitasking, and interpersonal skills that he continues to apply in his work with VBA and throughout his criminal justice education.

Chris’s long-term professional goal is to continue building his experience within the criminal justice and public-safety fields while using his education, leadership experience, emergency-response training, and work through VegasBlueAlliance to contribute to safer communities and stronger relationships among law enforcement professionals, first responders, and the people they serve.
